Over the summer, a friend visited an all-inclusive resort on vacation. All-inclusive, as the word implies, means all the food, drinks, and refreshments at the resort were fully paid for with the hotel booking. Despite the fact that all the food, drinks, and refreshments had been covered, my friend was shocked when he learnt that the ice cream at the resort’s coffee shop was also covered. How ironic.
Similarly, our salvation package is all-inclusive. All-inclusive, in the sense that all our divine requirements have been fully covered by Jesus’s payment on the cross. However, to know God is to experience God in your life. When we live our lives void of the reality of knowing God and His all-inclusive gift to us, we give room for the devil’s blinders and life’s shockers to overwhelm us.
John 1:16 NLT
From his abundance, we have all received one gracious blessing after another.
2 Peter 1:3 NLT
By his divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know him, the one who called us to himself by means of his marvelous glory and excellence.
As we close this year, I pray we live out our lives being conscious of our divine rights and God-given authority.
I look forward to a new month full of testimonies.
