Do Not Worry

As human beings, we naturally want to be in control of the outcomes of our lives. However, when things do not unfold as we hoped, there is a tendency to worry. The truth is that, regardless of how much we plan or prepare, we cannot control every outcome. Life does not always unfold according to our expectations.

The beauty of putting our faith in Jesus Christ is that we have an all-knowing, all-powerful, ever-present Father who made us, loves us, saved us, cares for us, knows our needs, and makes room for all our limitations. That is why Jesus tells us, “Do not worry”(Matthew 6:25). He also reminds us that “your Father knows exactly what you need” (Matthew 6:8).

As we enter this new month, do not worry.

Focus on taking the right godly steps each day. Focus on the divine nature God has given you. Focus on the love of God. Focus on His abiding presence. Focus on His faithfulness. Focus on His power. Keep your eyes on Christ, not on your circumstances.
