Uniquely Significant

The pain from an injury to the smallest finger on my right hand made me realise how important that finger could be to my entire body. I could feel the pain radiate through several points of my body, and sometimes I could not efficiently do basic things with my right hand, like picking up a cup, without factoring in the pain. My smallest finger is uniquely significant.

Our significance to the body of Christ – the church – could sometimes be paralleled to that of the smallest finger in our hands. Sometimes, we feel our contributions are small or even irrelevant. This feeling could make us feel unwanted or underappreciated. However, that is not how our Father sees us. Every member of the body is significant and is relevant to the effective functionality of the entire body.

As we head into this new month, I want us to embrace our uniqueness and value our divine status. We all contribute to the wellness of the body. We are all uniquely significant.

1 Corinthians 12:25-27 NLT

25 This makes for harmony among the members, so that all the members care for each other.

26 If one part suffers, all the parts suffer with it, and if one part is honored, all the parts are glad.

27 All of you together are Christ’s body, and each of you is a part of it.

Ephesians 4:16 NLT

He makes the whole body fit together perfectly. As each part does its own special work, it helps the other parts grow, so that the whole body is healthy and growing and full of love.

I look forward to a great new month full of testimonies.

Warm regards,
Emeka Ofia

He makes all things beautiful in its time.
