The Cornerstone: CLM New Month Message March 2026

Historically, a cornerstone was the first stone laid in the foundation of a building. It marked where the structure began, when construction started, and often why it was built. In broader and more practical terms, a cornerstone is the most significant part of something. It is the element upon which everything else depends.

In Scripture, Jesus Christ is described as the cornerstone. This means He is not merely an important part of our lives, but the foundation upon which everything else must be built.

For every child of God who has faith in the finished work of Christ, it is right to say that Jesus Christ defines our starting point, the essence of our being, and the purpose of our existence. He is not simply part of our story, but He is the substance of our existence. Jesus Christ is the cornerstone of our lives.

Because this is true, we are positioned for a new month filled with joy and testimonies. In this new month, I see us embracing our unique purpose in life. I see us embracing our peculiar qualities in holiness, joy, victory, love, growth, hope, excellence, and fruitfulness. I see us thriving in our significance to God and to the world, because Christ is our cornerstone.

Therefore, this is what the Sovereign Lord says:
“Look! I am placing a foundation stone in Jerusalem,
a firm and tested stone.
It is a precious cornerstone that is safe to build on.
Whoever believes need never be shaken.”

Ephesians 2:20 (NLT)
Together, we are His house, built on the foundation of the apostles and the prophets. And the cornerstone is Christ Jesus himself.
