| Sound the Blast of VictoryThinking about the collapse of Jericho’s wall as illustrated in Joshua 6:1-27, always leaves me in awe. The meticulous attention to God’s instruction by Joshua and its execution to the uttermost is quite telling. Verse 20 has the crescendo, I call it the blast of victory. Joshua 6:20 (NLT) “When the people heard the sound of the rams’ horns, they shouted as loud as they could. Suddenly, the walls of Jericho collapsed, and the Israelites charged straight into the town and captured it.” My dear family and friends, God’s tactics for victory have not changed. It is God’s stock in trade to use the foolish things of this world to confound the wise (1Cor.1:27). As we close out this year and get into the final calendar month, please sound the blast of victory, because we have a Father who never leaves us nor forsakes us (Heb.13:5-6).Though the terrain may be complicated, though the task ahead may be arduous, though challenges may be physically insurmountable, the expectations may be overwhelming, but God never changes. The same God who laid out the unimaginable tactics to collapse the walls of Jericho lives in us and is at work through us (1.John 4:4)! Sound the blast of victory. We have a great new month ahead of us. I look forward to great testimonies as always! |
