Race For Victory – September 2024 Lifeline

Aside from Team USA’s record breaking 126 medals (40 gold, 44 silver and 42 bronze) at the just concluded Paris 2024 Summer Olympics, Botswana’s Letsile “School-boy” Tebogo’s race for victory in the men’s 200m final on his late mother’s posthumous birthday gave me overwhelming joy.

The overwhelming joy I felt from Letsile Tebogo’s race for victory could be paralleled to the overwhelming joy our heavenly Father has when he sees us thrive and excel. He has endowed us with his victorious nature, which we have received by grace through faith in the finished work of Christ on the cross.

As we step into this new month, I encourage us to race for victory by focusing on God’s divine ability within and by keeping ourselves constantly enamored with the truth of the gospel. Please stay in constant fellowship with the church and seek every opportunity to practice holiness and God’s love.

I see miracles in households this new month and testimonies of God’s victory in and through our lives!!

Hebrews 12:1-2 (NLT)

1 Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us.

2 We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith. Because of the joy awaiting him, he endured the cross, disregarding its shame. Now he is seated in the place of honor beside God’s throne.

1 John 4:4 (NLT)

But you belong to God, my dear children. You have already won a victory over those people, because the Spirit who lives in you is greater than the spirit who lives in the world.

Warm regards,
Emeka Ofia

He makes all things beautiful in its time.
