God With Us

The schools of fish and mammoth whales I sighted on recent submarine and whale watching excursions in the island countries of Barbados and Dominica, respectively, still leave me in awe of God’s immense power and creative ability. The vastness of the seas and the aquatic splendour from the numerous diverse marine life that make up the seas is ever enthralling. God made them all. His name is Emmanuel, which means “God with us.”

I still do not understand the best way to comprehend that God is with us because imagining the greatness of the maker and owner of all life transcends human understanding. However, I know that God is with us because the almighty said so and continually shows so. God is with us.

In this new month, I pray that we tangibly feel and see God with us! I pray that we see God with all that concerns us! I pray that the power and creativity of God are birthed and carried out in our lives. I pray that all those who encounter us will see and confess that God is with us!! I pray that we will all end this year truly saying that God is with us!!!

I see a new month full of testimonies.
