Ambassadors of Hope

I was inspired by retired neurosurgeon Dr. Ben Carson’s narration of how God remarkably used his hands in the surgery to separate cranially conjoined twins Joseph and Luca Banda in late 1997. The procedure lasted for 30 non-stop hours. In the end, a procedure that was hitherto impossible became successful. Ultimately, Dr. Ben Carson said, “I can not remember all that I did. God did the surgery through my hands. All I needed to do was to yield myself to him.”

God has not stopped doing his surgery through our hands. We are his ambassadors of hope. All we need to do is to yield ourselves to him. For in the same way God picked up an inglorious recluse like Saul and made him the famous Apostle Paul (1.Timothy 1:12-17), God is still in the business of making limited people express unlimited capabilities. He wants to show his excellence through our feebleness.

In this month, I plead with us to yield ourselves to God. He wants to express His glorious nature through our lives. He wants his will to be done on earth as it is in Heaven. That is why we are his ambassadors of hope.

2 Corinthians 5:20  (NLT)
So we are Christ’s ambassadors; God is making his appeal through us. We speak for Christ when we plead, “Come back to God!”

I see miracles and testimonies in and through our lives!!

2 Corinthians 4:7  (NLT)
We now have this light shining in our hearts, but we ourselves are like fragile clay jars containing this great treasure. This makes it clear that our great power is from God, not from ourselves.
