The Director’s Mastery

The quality of a good movie’s cast, suspense, plot twist, sound effects, lighting, storyline delivery, and the movie’s conclusion are a few of the attributes that give us a glimpse into the movie director’s mastery. However, when we see the process that goes into making the movie behind the scenes, we appreciate the full depth of the director’s mastery.  Behind the scenes gives us all the moving parts that must align to make the movie a blockbuster.

Just as the director’s mastery is paramount to the quality of a movie, God’s divine mastery is paramount to the quality of our lives. God is constantly working behind the scenes, making sure all the moving parts align to make us – his children – a full expression of His glory. Through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, our Father expressed to the world the fullness of his loving kindness, glory, power, provision, and excellence to the world.

As we start this new month, I want us to appreciate the love of God expressed through Jesus Christ and that he is directing our lives to express his glory and mastery through us.

Furthermore, because we are united with Christ, we have received an inheritance from God, for he chose us in advance, and he makes everything work out according to his plan.
